They had access to language, context, and mentors who helped them make smart decisions early, before opportunities passed or mistakes compounded.
At the same time, she was meeting brilliant young women trying to navigate increasingly complex careers without that same support. They were doing everything right and still felt behind.
MELD was incubated at Harvard, where Katie ran high-demand sessions that proved young women were desperate for what universities and employers weren't giving them: real guidance, visibility, community, and unpressured, unfiltered access.
The problem was never potential. The problem was proximity: proximity to insight, experience, and trusted leadership context at the exact moment you need it.
So we built MELD.
